Our second webinar from the ongoing INTERSECT Circle seminar series.

Our panelists include Dr. Simona Mila Capisani who is Environmental Philosophy Professor at Durham University, her current research is on the normative and political governance challenges of  “climate mobilities” and its intersectionality with climate justice, climate adaptation, and social justice. She will be joined by Ms. Hanna Geschewski a doctoral researcher in Human Geography based at the Chr. Michelsen Institute (CMI) and the University of Bergen in Norway. Her research focuses on the social-environmental dimensions of long-term displacement, particularly in the case of Tibetan refugees in rural South India and Nepal.

This panel hopes to foster a dynamic interdisciplinary dialogue on the ethical obligations of state systems to populations at risk of displacement and will feature presentations from our panelists representing their unique perspectives on the theme of climate change and migration.
