Project by Daniela Villegas Highlights Latin American migrant women in the EU

The project Latinoamericanas migrantes en la Unión Europea (Latin American Migrant Women in the European Union) by Daniela Villegas, presents contemporary migrant experiences of Latin American women in the European Union. Using interview formats, the outputs focus on themes of belonging, roots, rationales for migration, bureaucratic interactions and cultural clashes.

To date, these interviews have been broadcast on the University of Guelph’s radio, in a section developed by me called Género en la Mira (Gender in Sight). This is part of a larger Spanish language program focused on women, gender and feminism called Tiempo de Mujeres (Women’s Time).
